Privacy Policy

What we collect

If you subscribe to the newsletter we store your email address and, optionally, your home city and language preference. We capture your IP at signup briefly to rate-limit submissions, then discard it within ten minutes. If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 collects anonymous, aggregated visit data. Vercel Analytics counts unique page views without setting tracking cookies and does not require consent. We do not sell or share data with advertisers.

Why we collect it

Newsletter data: to send you the weekly digest or bad-weather alert you signed up for. Analytics: to understand which pages help visitors find sunny weekend escapes and which fail. We do not run advertising or remarketing.

Third parties we rely on

• Supabase (EU region) — stores newsletter subscribers.
• Resend (US, GDPR-adherent) — sends confirmation and newsletter emails.
• Vercel (US/EU) — hosts this site, runs Vercel Analytics, keeps short-lived debug logs.
• Google Analytics 4 (US, opt-in only) — anonymous visit metrics. Loads only after you click Accept in the cookie banner.
• Porkbun — domain registrar and inbound mail forwarding.

Retention

Newsletter records: kept until you unsubscribe (one-click link in every email). Anonymous analytics: retained according to Google Analytics defaults (max 14 months). Server logs: 30 days.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, or export of any data we hold on you. Email hello@lastminutesun.ai and we'll respond within 30 days. Newsletter unsubscribe is instant via the link in every mail.

Cookies and local storage

See the dedicated cookie policy. In short: we use one Vercel Analytics first-party cookie and, if you accept, Google Analytics cookies. We also use browser localStorage to remember your home city, saved destinations, and your cookie-banner choice — none of this leaves your device.

Affiliate links

Booking links on result cards go through affiliate programmes (Booking.com via CJ Affiliate, FlixBus via Awin, Kiwi.com via Awin once approved). If you book through them, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate clicks do not transmit personal data we hold about you to the partner.
